The other day I was browsing @cori_fit on Instagram and she posts a lot of things she loves from Trader Joes. One thing that stuck out to me was Nutritional Yeast. It has a cheesy taste, 0 fat, 2 carbs, 3 grams of protein per TBS and its rich in vitamin B12. It’s amazing. She posted a broccoli recipe that I tried and have fallen in love with. I will have it with some chicken for lunch or just for a snack. My toddler loves it too so double thumbs up! I have also sprinkled it on sweet potatoes, eggs, and other cooked veggies.
- Wash and dry your broccoli and spread out on a foil lined tray/cookie sheet
- spray your broccoli with coconut oil spray (you could also do olive oil)
- sprinkle desired amount of Nutritional Yeast on the top
- Bake at 400 for 10-12 minutes (I do mine in my toaster oven and it works perfectly for a small batch)
One of the things I love about Trader Joes is the little mini carts for kids. My daughter was in heaven but I had to make sure she didn’t run anyone over!
